Foreign workers in Saudi Arabia weaken nationalization effort
This article talks about the private sector in Saudi Arabia, and how they prefer the foreign
workers than the Saudi workers, by giving some statistics. Also the article says that the labor
ministry created a new system that support nationalization in private sector. However, this
system did not work so well, because of the business owners, they do not like the idea, so they
did not help the labor ministry.

home

Memories of 18 Years....

This is basically my home from the outside. I lived in this home my whole life. In this home there are 3 levels and a basement. The first level is the guest’s living room and a guest’s bedroom and a bathroom (if there’s a guest is sleeping over or visiting us from outside of the country). The 2nd level there is a living room in the middle, 2 separated sections which are boy’s bedrooms with bathrooms and girls bedrooms with bathrooms. On the other side is my parent’s master room. The 3rd level is the maids’ bedroom and bathroom. The basement consists of two rooms, one is for keeping old stuff and the other one we call it “Diwanya” it is a big room where we invite our friends to hang out and play video games, watch TV, or play card games. We don’t a big garden, but a small one with a big palm tree.

As I described my home, we can see that there are some homes that have more privacy than us because as it is shown on the picture there are no garages or such a wall to cover, but only if you go inside the house then you won’t be seen. So it really depends on how religious you are and if you would really care about what others say.

This picture shows Saudi’s house, as we can see there are many differences between Saudi houses and western houses. In Saudi Arabia the hoses seem way bigger than houses in Europe and the United State. It is big for many reasons one of the reason is that because we designed many rooms and also some of these rooms belong to women and other belong to men, so we can see it is religious or culture reason.  Although, you feel more privacy it is hard to clean it up. Especially, in my country we often get bad weather like dust. So a lot of families in Saudi Arabia do need house made to help them cleaning the houses. In general, I can tell there are some negative and positive aspects not only in our houses but also in western houses.
